Biomass Resource
Loosely defined, 'biomass' is any renewable matter of organic origin. This can include both plant and animal matter, purpose-grown as well as naturally occuring, and reclaimed 'wastes' from throughout the economy.
Our core commercial product - levulinic acid - is derived from the cellulose fraction of this input. Our resource concerns, therefore, focus primarily on the ready availability of high cellulose feedstocks.
